Aditya Tuli

Chief Digital Officer

Aditya Tuli, 46, is a British citizen who has made Malaysia his home. Aditya has over 22 years of experience in the IT industry. He was appointed as Chief Digital Officer of Sime Darby Plantation Berhad (SD Plantation) in August 2019. Before that, he was Vice President of Technology and Innovation for Malaysia Global Innovation and Creativity Centre (MaGIC).

Aditya began his career in 1999 as a Software Analyst and later progressed to become Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at InfoBahn in India. He managed the development and implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions for large clients in Hong Kong and developed an electronic messaging gateway for a reinsurance partner in London. Aditya led the team that pioneered an electronic messaging gateway built on ACORD standards for the London Insurance Market in 2002. At InfoBahn, he built and led a team of 25 software engineers and introduced various engineering processes to transition from desktop software development to web development and also from traditional waterfall development to Agile development.

In 2006, Aditya became the Applications Head for Petrofac Training, an international service provider for the oil and gas industry. He managed the development and adoption of the Microsoft Great Plains ERP solution for Petrofac. Later, he managed the development of a Training Management Solution built on Great Plains and built an internal team to support Great Plains and develop other extensions to it. Since 2006, Aditya has varied experiences in consulting small businesses and large corporates in the United Kingdom (UK) in their adoption of cloud and SaaS solutions. He also worked for startups in the UK and Malaysia, before migrating to Malaysia in 2014 to be the CRM Practice Lead at Xchanging Malaysia. At Xchanging Malaysia, Aditya product managed an entire suite of analytics offerings for the Banking and Financial Services Industry.

Aditya graduated with a master's in business administration (MBA) from Glasgow Business School at the University of Glasgow, UK in 2005. Prior to that, he graduated with a B.E (Computer Engineering), from the University of Mumbai, India in 1999.
