Sime Darby Plantation’s palm oil exports to United States given greenlight after review by US Customs
The United States Customs and Border Protection (USCBP) has modified its forced labour finding against Sime Darby Plantation Berhad (SDP), which means, effective immediately, the USCBP will now permit the importation of palm oil from SDP into the United States.
Sime Darby Plantation Berhad (SDP), the world’s largest producer of certified sustainable palm oil, has developed a comprehensive strategy to achieve net-zero emissions across its entire value chain by 2050. SDP has aligned its action plans with the Paris Agreement targets to limit global temperature rises to no more than 1.5°C.

Sime Darby Plantation Berhad recorded a net profit of RM1.93 billion for the nine-months ended 30 September 2022 (9M FY2022) representing an 8% year-on-year (YoY) increase.
